Oh mai... This is new...

When morning finally rolled around, Laura was, of course, still laying in bed. She was many things, but she was not a morning person... The marten's hair was a floofy, tangled mess around her head as she lay next to Roy, hugging one of his arms as she snoozed away. She was sleeping with her mouth open, as unattractive as that was, and occasionally her nose would twitch, or her tail would thump against the mattress.

Meanwhile, EJ was curled up with Rachel. He was slowly beginning to wake up, and was aware that something wasn't right... Rachel's breathing was too noisy, and when he opened his eyes he saw that her face was a little flushed. The bat seemed to be shifting a little restlessly as she began to wake up, and EJ was quickly able to decipher what was up; she was sick. He knew that the bat twins had wimpy immune systems, but come on, it was the summertime! Poor Rachel...

He sat up a little, propping himself up on one elbow and reaching over to rest his hand against Rachel's cheek, feeling the heat of her fever on her skin. "Hey, Rach...? You don't look so good..."

(HOW THE FUCK IS 'BLUELEAF' ALREADY TAKEN?! *facedesks* 

My phone's about to die... ouo" And honestly, I don't know how long I could Skype. My mom's still sick, and I dunno when she wants to go to sleep.)

(I've tried making a new drawing of Zero for you, buuuut... HIS DAMN QUILLS. *flips table* I can't draw him in my own style because he is just too Sonic-y in design. -m- It just doesn't look right.)

Roy wasn't awake, but not really asleep at the same time. He woke up early, still bleary-eyed and confused out of his mind, but at some point, he passed out again, flat on his back. Currently, with Laura curled up against his side and making one of his arms numb, he slept peacefully, albeit aware of his surroundings, so his ears would twitch whenever Laura's tail thumped the mattress. At some point during the night, he kicked off the blanket with his good leg, so the covers were half hanging off the bed.

Rachel felt horrible. There was no better way to explain it. She felt fine the day before, but her immune system was unpredictable like that. The bat squirmed a little under EJ's hand, and opened her bleary eyes slightly, "Mmn...?" She raised a hand to her face, but then noticed how much she ached, and just let her arm flop to her side again. The bat was covered in sweat, with her hair sticking to her forehead, and she felt like someone stuffed her nose full of tissues. Her gaze was set on EJ as she felt a pounding behind her eyes.

(Roy: WHAHT ZE FUCK SHAY?! o//A//o?!? 

Okay, if you're about to say that you don't have any STDs, you can, indeed, be born with them. Fyi.

Shifting around in her sleep, Laura went from cuddling Roy's arm to wrapping her arms around his head, curling up around the upper half of his body. She pressed her face into his hair, mumbling a little before settling down again.

"Oh, Rach..." EJ felt his heart melt when he saw her like that. He started to get out of bed, telling her, "You just stay here. I'll go tell your mom that you're sick, and we can get you some medicine and stuff." He adjusted the blankets on her, and brushed her sweaty hair out of her face, giving her a little smile. The cat was endlessly not only tolerant of her sudden bouts of illness, but he did his best to care for her when it happened, staying with her even if he risked getting sick himself. "Just rest, okay? We'll take care of you."

(*is falling asleep* -w-)
