The kids are most likely at an orphanage set up in Safekeep. I imagine that security has been beefed up, so it's not like they'll just wander in and get found. More like they were taken in by guards and sent to the orphanage. o3o)

The Devas had three new members added to their group. They were children though and they were orphans, so they were put into a special room.

The youngest one, the leopard was huddled close to the other two. "Guys...I'm scared." she whispered. Her fur was fluffed out, she knew that these people weren't part of the Sect but she was still scared. She didn't know who these people were, she almost felt like freezing the guards to get away however, she knew that would be a bad idea.

The middle one, a sheep dog was squished between his sister and his friend. "It'll be ok Beth, I'm sure these guys won't hurt us. Plus I don't think were in any danger from what I can see." he replied. The young pup couldn't see anything with his eyes because his hair was in the way, but he could see with his feet instead with his powers. He started to pant a little bit because being squished between the two girls made him a bit warm and he was in a fluffy jacket.

The oldest one, a hybrid was holding the two protectively close to her. Her big butterfly wings were open to make a little bit of a breeze to cool of her little brother. "Nhean is right, we'll be ok. Besides think about the new friends we'll make." she said trying to cheer up the leopard. Her ears were perked just in case someone was coming.

(Beth is younger than Nhean by a couple of months)

Aaralyn wasn't in the orphan room anymore now that she had a lot of foster parents. She wasn't with anyone though. She was able to go into the infirmary since the panic died down. She was headed to Roy, she felt like he could use some comfort. There were some people guarding him, but she found a way to let her see him. She carefully climbed into his bed and laid down next to him, she gently nuzzled his cheek and carefully moved his arm so that it would be around her. She also held his hand in hers so that he would be calm. She snuggled up with him and was happy that she was doing a good thing by keeping the bat company.

By now, Roy was relatively stable... Well, physically, at least. The bat was still heavily drugged from the painkillers the healers gave him. So, he didn't notice Aaralyn at all, or some of the other Devas watching over him. He was deeply unconscious still. Roy's hand laid limply in both of Aaralyn's, as the bat's hand was much bigger than hers.

Rachel just shook her head, coughing in her attempt to speak. Her arms tightened around the cat, which wasn't exactly good for his ribs, but she wasn't exactly thinking of that at the moment. She didn't want to let go of EJ, either, and just continued to cry into his shoulder. 

Richard was quiet for a moment, before sighing-- he still had his composure, even though the news was like a slap to the face for him, "....Alright." If you can get my daughter off him, at least. "Zank you... I'll see eento telleeng Laura...." Seeing how the marten had reacted when Roy was shot... He was almost kind of scared. But she cared for him, and Richard understood that she was scared. He was, too. 

Anna looked dazed, and almost disconnected from the world. The news hadn't really sunken in... She refused to believe it until she saw it. T-this can't be true.... It can't! 

(Y'know, Roy could be Hiccup from HTTYD. 

Roy: So, I get a dragon now? 

No. 

Roy: Fuck.)

Shiloh held on to Phillip, not having much of a problem standing up but no sure how well she could navigate without being able to see. The stoat relied on her boyfriend to show her the way home... "Finally, we can just go home..." Together.

Chase sighed, then stepped into the house and knelt next to Rachel, giving her a bit of a sad little smile. "Your parents need to worry about Roy right now, Rachel... Let me worry about E, okay? And if you're not ready to go and see him at the infirmary, you can come with me, too. Then, when you are ready, I'll walk you down."

He reached over and put a large, scarred hand on her head, gently rubbing at one of her ears. "He's my brother, too, sweetheart... I'm scared, too. It's alright to feel that way..."

Meanwhile, since things had finally calmed down in the infirmary, Shay was able to focus on his tiny patient. He fetched the little baby from her small, secluded room and carried her to the room Alpha and Sandi were in, so he could look after all three at the same time. He sat in a chair and gave the baby her bottle, looking severe and grouchy like usual... but in a few moments, a different expression washed over his face. Having finally sat down for the first time all day really, the bat realized he hadn't slept in a long time... had he slept at all in the past two days?

Exhausted, Shay fell asleep in the chair with the baby still in his arms, the tiny creature hungrily drinking from the bottle he held in his half-limp hand. She was certainly livelier than she had been when she first arrived, and was now eating on a somewhat regular basis again, starting to gain the weight she needed.

Shay: No, I'm not. I'd just feel bad if the kid got neglected.

"I'll have to grab my stuff at Tina's place later... But I'm gonna bring you home first. I'm sure both Maude and Jasper'll be glad to see me." Phillip replied as he lead Shiloh out of the infirmary. He let out a breath finally, once they were out, and let his shoulders slump. Ow....

Rachel finally managed to pry her tear streaked face from EJ's shoulder when she heard Chase speaking right close to her ear. She raised a hand and rubbed at her red eyes, while nodding a little-- she was calming down a little, but still gasped and shook. She didn't know if she could take seeing her brother right now. Definitely not as a crying wreck.

Alpha watched as Shay brought in the little orphan baby, and was oddly surprised that Shay had been assigned her. However, he didn't say much, especially when he saw the bat pass out in the chair he sat in while feeding her. He definitely needed that....

Poor Shay has been awake for a while. I should take the baby just in case, but it would ruin his sleep. I suppose I can sit on the edge of the bed just in case. Sandi thought and moved herself carefully so that she wouldn't disturb Shay. She made a hand movement at Alpha to tell him to not talk.

As time passed Aaralyn was falling asleep next to Roy. "Sleep well Mr. Bat." the hedgehog said. She didn't understand why she said this for a moment, but quickly forgot about it a second later and fell asleep in the bat's arms.

(Can Mid or someone visit the kids? Or have the guards check on them?)

Shiloh nodded, then felt Phillip relax a little as they left the infirmary. After a moment of quiet, she asked, "Are you alright...? Tell me the truth, you're not too badly hurt, are you?" She was unable to look him over, so she honestly didn't know if he had been honest when saying he was alright.

Chase pulled both of the teens in for a hug, trying to reassure them, "It'll be alright..." He then glanced up at Richard and Anna, giving them a nod. We can take things from here. Go see Roy.


Sasha walked over and joined her brother, plucking a box of tissues off the coffee table on her way over and holding the box out to the kids sniffling on the floor.

With the bat passed out in the chair, the baby was fine for a few minutes, until her bottle was empty. She let go of it, stared at it for a moment, and then slapped it so it fell onto the floor and rolled under one of the beds. Apparently content afterwards, she squirmed and craned her neck to look around herself, her eyes wide and innocent as she inspected the room and its occupants. She recognized Sandi, who had helped Shay care for her a few times, and gave the squirrel a toothless little smile while Shay kept dozing.

Julianne was unhappy, to put things simply... How idiotic can people be?! Do I have to take out their brains and replace those with programmed machines, too?! This is getting ridiculous! The cyborg chinchilla was pacing back and forth in her immense throne room of sorts, while her psychic bodyguards sat motionlessly around the room, their faces blank.
