Meanwhile, Roxy was doing a lot better. She could walk around more easily, even though she still had to take it easy on the stairs, and not go out for a long time. She still tired out easily, and she wasn't used to walking, so her hips and feet hurt after a while. The chinchilla saw Jonah, with some....thing standing (sort of) next to him. Feeling some brush creep up her face, she approached the much taller supernatural, "H-hey.... You okay....? I heard about the fight...." She wanted to ask about Storm, but wasn't really able to word the question properly.

(I've seen a LP of it, and read a manga about it.)

"Age doesn't have to do with anything," Shay scowled at that comment, knowing very well that Alpha was a few years older than him. He leaned back in his chair, grumpy and tired. However, then he thought about how he could probably help at home because Laura was-- "LAURA! Oh shit!" The bat suddenly leaped up, panicked. "Oh god, she's at home with a fever and someone is gonna be dumb enough to be the poor sucker who tells her about Roy's leg... I gotta go make sure everything's alright!" He ran out of the room before the other two could object, worried about the feverish marten getting too wound up and passing out or something.

Celeste was trying to calm her sister, but Laura wasn't having any of it. She got even more upset when Richard said she wasn't allowed to even go see Roy, tears streaming down her face as she screamed at the top of her lungs, her voice tight and breathless, "I am family! W-we take care of each other... I-I am his family! I am! You can't say I'm not, it's not fair!" She tried to pull away from her sister, her face red with fever as she frantically struggled. "I have to see him! I have to be there for him! You can't do this!"

Starting to drag the smaller marten towards the bedroom, Celeste gave Richard an apologetic look, though she had little idea on what was being said. Laura kept struggling and shouting, spitting out insults in her despair, "You heartless bastard! You can't do this! I have to be there! How can you say I'm not his family?! How could you say that?!"

It didn't take long at all for Laura to weaken and become unable to struggle anymore, practically limp as Celeste dragged her away. Still, she sobbed and whined, "How could you say that...?"

(Look, Richard, now she thinks you reject her. *stern face* You coulda worded that a little better when dealing with an emotional, feverish, panicked girl who happens to be dating your son.)

"Word spreads quickly doesn't it?" Jonah muttered his reply faking a smile.

"Who might this be, Master?" Storm asked, her voice monotonous and electronic.

"Storm this is Roxy...she was one of the refugees I saved getting the parts to make your new body."

Storm dipped her head.

Alpha just watched Shay completely freak out and run out of the room in his panic. His ears twitched a little in confusion, "....well, that's one way to get him out of here.... All joking aside, that's not going to end well."

Richard stood, frozen in the spot, unable to really react. It wasn't like he didn't like the marten as a person, but the healers wouldn't let her to see Roy....right? He tried to convince himself that, but what had just been said by Laura just threw that out of the window. The man's ears tilted back as he regretted this decision with a fiery passion. Shit.... 


(Roy: Oh, so you can swear, but you don't like eet when I do?!

"O-oh, um.... That's not necessary...." Roxy looked a little sheepish when Storm dipped her head like Roxy was royalty, "Just, who are you....?" She hadn't seen this...thing with Jonah before... But they knew each other. It baffled her.

Shay practically exploded into the apartment, the door flying open with enough force to bang loudly against the wall. The bat slammed it shut just as noisily, then bolted past Richard with just a quick, "Coming through!" He could hear the awful sounds of despair and headed for the Dering girls, grabbing Laura and helping Celeste get her up on the bed. He hauled her up with him as he climbed onto the mattress, backing up until he could lean his back against the headboard while sitting up.

He wrapped his arms firmly around his feverish companion, holding her tightly against him and trying to calm her down; he remembered all the times she had been there for him, and he had to return the favor now. "I-it's okay... calm down... Listen, I was just there at the infirmary, and he's fine. Conscious, okay, and surprisingly not as traumatized as you would expect, probably because he's gone through this before with his wing. And his mom is there to baby his sorry ass, so it's okay..." He smoothed her hair, his tone surprisingly gentle.

While Shay tried to calm her sister, Celeste stepped back out into the living room to make sure Richard was alright. She smiled a little at him, knowing by the expression on his face that he felt bad for saying the wrong thing. The deaf marten walked over and patted his arm, hoping he got the message she was trying to convey. It's okay, she's just worried about him and upset that this happened. It's nothing personal against you.

"I am LQ8461i." She said, "My master here refers to me as Storm. I am an artificial intelligence with no limiters. I have but one task and that is to follow any and all of Jonah's orders."

Jonah sighed, "Think of her like my partner in crime when I was with the Sect. They didn't think I'd break free but EJ fixed that. Completely on accident too."

"I have also had my original objective of capturing Elliot Wycliff Junior erased from my data banks. Therefore it is no longer an object I must fulfill or risk being destroyed by the Sect." Storm added.

(Pippa would be so awkward though XD maybe we can introduce the sister at KF3 somehow?)

Richard had barely responded to when Shay streaked past him, but had looked up when the sounds of Laura's despaired cries had quieted. He absentmindedly gnawed on the inside of his cheek, and ran a hand though his hair while sighing. Note to self... Never try to comfort someone. His thoughts were interrupted when Celeste came over to him-- she had seen what happened, but hadn't heard. Richard's mouth was pressed into a thin line-- he didn't know what to say, not that it would do much good if he did.

Roxy's eyes widened a little, before she relaxed a little, "Oh.... I see...." She didn't really freak out all that much-- she was used to this stuff because of Jonah, she guessed.

(Richard: ...)

"Her pulse rate increased, Jonah...should we be worried?" Storm asked.

Jonah gave his mechanical wolf partner a look, "Uh Storm, why don't you go see if Cole needs help with something."

"Very well."

Storm headed out of the infirmary.

"Sorry about that, Storm can analyze someone's vitals just by looking at them." He told Roxy.

He then took a seat and sighed to himself, "I can't believe it..."

(We haven't even finished bringing in Blue, Tag, and Ferris yet, Sil. omo' And you've neglected Willow a lot lately... are you sure new characters are a good idea right this minute?)

Shay rested his chin on Laura's head as he held onto her. He genuinely loved the Dering sisters... Laura had been the person he needed when he was laying out in the snow, dying and abandoned. She made him trust people again; or, at least some people. He owed it to her to help her now... owed her more than he could really give back. The young bat tightened his arms around her, listening as her miserable words faded, exhaustion taking over the small marten's body.

Celeste picked up her pad of paper and pen off the coffee table and scribbled something down, then showed it to Richard. She just worry and upset that he is hurt. We will take care of her. You should take care your child. Her grammar wasn't perfect, but the message was there.

Rosy watched the mechanical wolf go, looking overwhelmed at that. She hadn't really noticed her heart rate increasing until Storm pointed it out, and blushed harder.... Until Jonah just sat down dejectedly. "W-what....? What's wrong...?" Roxy sat down next to Jonah, and inwardly let out a sigh of relief at the fact that she was sitting down.

"I...I didn't listen to my gut again and someone got hurt because of it." he admitted not really sure he should lie to Roxy and tell her everything was alright when it clearly wasn't.

(Well Libra has been occupied so I haven't done anything with Willow. I posted for Blue and I was also going to have the sister's be friends of Willow's. I killed off Viola too.)

(You haven't killed Viola yet...or did you do that while I was at BMT?)

Richard read the message, and took the pen from her. He wrote something down, before making a bit of a face and scratched out a part of his message, before showing it to Celeste. I will. I did not want it to end up like that. I am not exactly good with my words... At all... I will go now. He had wanted to say more, but he thought it would just make Laura more upset. Richard wanted to apologize, but now was not really the time, and therefore, his attempt was the scratched out part.

Roxy went quiet for a moment, before saying, "Jonah... You can't save everyone.... It might not be the answer you're looking for, but that's all as can really say... People make mistakes."

Well, okay, maybe it actually is, but there's still a thing called 'tomorrow'." Roxy normally wasn't the one to give out wistful advice, so this was kind of new for her.
