Oh mai... This is new...

Jonah jumped when she screamed, his Solodon Radar didn't pick her up until it was too late.

"I know Ruth I'm sorry really!" he was thoroughly embarrassed especially since Roxy was laying with him, he still hadn't sat up completely, he struggled to find words to explain what happened.

Crap crap crap crap!!!

(Okay, I'll have to try it when I'm bored and have a lot of time. XD)

Shay nodded, then gave a bit of a snort, "So long as you're with me, we're fine. We'll just meander down the one hallway and then come back." He held out his arms in a silent offer to help Alpha get out of bed and stand up, since he was pretty sure he would have a hard time doing it on his own.

Nani pulled Roxy off of Jonah, hauling her to her feet and then hugging her. "You've been gone for hours! I've been worried sick, and looking for you! And now it's late and Aaron and Papa are going to be worrying about me because I was supposed to be home a long time ago... Oh, we've made a mess of things..."

"You are an idiot!" Ruth barked, scowling at Jonah, "You won't be allowed in my infirmary if you're going to haul off patients and then not bring them back! It's cold and dark, and she's not fit enough to be out this long!" She huffed, then calmed down just as quickly as she had gone on a rage. "Let's get Roxanne back to the infirmary so Naomi can go home and calm her family, yes?"

"I...I..." Jonah sighed and turned away from them, "Nevermind. Just go alright."

He started to leave heading back home his hands stuffed in his pockets knowing he'd royally fucked up.

"Okay...." Alpha took a breath, before grabbing onto Shay's arms to help pull him up into a standing position. Alpha made a bit of a face, and swayed a little on his feet, but the hybrid managed to keep his balance, "I'm okay... I'm alright.... I think...."

Roxy didn't really respond to the hug, as she was still all freaked out. However, she calmed a little when Ruth started to calm down and not yell at Jonah, "I-I'm sorry I kept you from your family..." The chinchilla felt really bad about this, and it just ate away at her insides as she looked helplessly at the both of them. Fuck...

Ruth scowled after the wolf as he started to walk off, having expected him to at least help them get Roxy back to the infirmary. Little scoundrel!

Nani, however, knew Jonah better than that. She called, "Jonah, no! Ruth is just being a meanie, but we were really worried!" She held onto Roxy still, as though afraid the chinchilla would vanish. "You can stay at the infirmary with her tonight... i-if she wants..." She was starting to catch onto their little romance-in-the-making, at least.

"Naomi--!" Ruth began to argue, but Nani put her foot down.

"Shush!" The ocelot thought that Ruth was being unusually mean and must have a stick up her butt or something. She started to lead Roxy home, glancing back and calling to Jonah, "Seriously, Jonah! She's my patient and you have my permission!" Then she resumed her walking, now addressing Roxy, "And it's alright... Aaron will have a fit, but I know how to calm him down. He's just a bit protective. And hopefully Papa is sleeping and doesn't know I'm late, because he needs his rest."

"Uh, how about you still let me help?" Shay didn't feel comfortable with letting go of him, and carefully pulled one of Alpha's arms around himself so the hybrid could hold onto him. Then he put one of his own arms around Alpha, so the two could hold each other and hopefully keep him from falling down. "I've got you, just in case..."

Roxy looked overwhelmed, especially when Nani said that Jonah could stay with her in the infirmary if she wanted him to. W-what?! Her face flushed immediately, but in the darkness, it wasn't really seen. Stunned, she let Nani almost drag her away, until she snapped out of her daze when the ocelot started talking, "O-oh...." She just went along with it, her exhaustion keeping her from really saying much more.

Alpha felt a little awkward, but just sucked it up for now, "Alright..." It was kind if awkward, as Shay was taller than him by a little bit, but he tried not to let it get to him. The hybrid then started to shuffle off, his steps a little unsteady because his ribs restricted them. The pain was duller, but it still demanded to be felt.

Jonah paused stopping dead, but he didn't look over his shoulder at the girls as they walked away, "Thanks Nani."

He then headed on his way, hands still stuffed in his pocket like he was looking for something.

Lance was outside having a smoke, he was lost in thought trying to come up with designs, and possibly materials for Roy's leg...if he even wanted it.

(Question: Lance, what do you use for prosthetics? Like, what kind of metal? I've always been curious.)

Lance: It's a Stainless Steel Titanium Aluminum alloy. Light weight yet corrosion resistant and very very durable. Just add a coat of paint and you've got the best robotics that I can make given my resources.)

(Huh. Interesting.)

After Jonah's little thank you, they were on their way... Ruth looked like she wanted to slap Nani as the women began to head back to the infirmary, whether Jonah came or not. She couldn't believe that the girl, who was considering quitting at the infirmary, had actually back-talked like that!

Nani herself tried to ignore Ruth's death glare, just smiling gently at Roxy as she said quietly, "It's alright... I'll get you home and in bed. I'm sure Jonah will be okay, and Ruth will eventually understand." She rubbed the chinchilla's back, fur lilac fur fluffed out against the cold. She walked with long strides, trying to get Roxy back to the infirmary as quickly as possible.

Shay might have been a bit taller, but Alpha was certainly thicker, and a little heavy. He hoped that he would actually lose his balance and fall, because he doubted his ability to catch him without falling over himself... Shay wasn't exactly physically strong. "Take your time..."

Lance: ^^' I'm pretty sure the weight from the prosthetic wouldn't effect Roy's ability to fly provided I can match his original body weight...or at least get within 10 pounds or so.)

Jonah bumped into Lance on his way home.

"Girl trouble?" Lance immediately asked blowing a smoke ring.

"Sorta..."

Lance nodded.

"You mind if I bum one off you?"

Lance pulled out the pack he had and popped one out and handed it over, "Need a light?"

Jonah shook his head and snapped his fingers, a little flame sparked the end of the cigarette and he took a drag.

"So what's on your mind Jonah?"

And Jonah began to explain what happened.

(Well, you probably wouldn't have to worry about making it that lightweight, because of his super strength. *shrug*)

Roxy just shuffled along, unable to really look at Ruth. She scared the pelt off of her! Great.... I'm gonna be on her bad side, aren't I? Fuck.... Trying to also ignore Ruth's death stare, Roxy nodded a little, "O-okay.... S-sorry.... Again...." She couldn't really help it.

Alpha tried to, at least, especially since Shay looked like he was struggling a little to support the hybrid's weight. Feeling awkward and kind of bad, he lessened his grip on Shay a little, "I'm trying..."

(Lance: I'm not worried about his ability to take off, I'm worried about his air speed to weight ratio, the more weight he has the more thrust Roy needs to generate to take off and stay aloft. If I can match his original weight then he'll have no trouble taking off and staying in the air.)

"Wow..." Lance said.

"Yeah she fucking lost her mind." Jonah finished up.

"This is Ruth we're talking about right? Like little Ruth?"

"Yeah. She's normally so level headed." 

"But you gotta realize how much stress she's under, she is a doctor after all."

Jonah shrugged, "I guess that's true."

"Did you at least apologize?"

"YES!"

"It might just be the stress talking...that or a stick crawled up her ass."

"I like to think it's stress."

(Okay, case in point. But if he didn't have the ability to fly, it wouldn't be a problem. I don't think he would mind if he was a little heavier than what he originally was before, though. :p 

Roy: -_- I'm right 'ere.)

(Jonaaaahh... </3)

"It's fine," Nani assured her in a near-whisper, with another gentle smile. She brought Roxy to the infirmary, which was quiet, and led her over to bed. She helped her into it, and even tucked her in all motherly-like. "Goodnight, Roxy... Get some sleep, alright? Things will be fine." She patted the chinchilla's arm, then turned to leave.

When Alpha loosened his grip, Shay tightened his, afraid of the hybrid falling. He was determined to be helpful, ignoring the awkwardness of holding onto him like that. "It's fine if you need to lean on me or something... it's what I'm here for."

(Sasha: And then Alpha falls, and Shay goes down with him. They land with one on top and one underneath, and their eyes meet---

Shay: SERIOUSLY?! *whacks her with IV pole again*)

(Lance: ^^" Sorry Roy, your creator asked.)

Jonah finished his cigarette and burned the rest of it to ashes in his palm.

"I'm heading home, Lance, thanks for the talk." he said to the grey vulpine.

"Not a problem." Lance replied.

(Where the piss is Sasha in RP anyways?)

Roxy, with her fatigue making every step like lead, did not object to when Nani lead her over to bed and tucked her in. How long it had been since the last time she was tucked in like that, she had no idea. However, it was comforting to her, and it didn't last long before she was out cold.

"I can tell that you're struggling a little. Don't lie to me. I know. I still have a perfectly fine working pair of legs, you know... I'm okay." He was doing a lot better than what he had expected, but said nothing out loud, in fear of him jinxing it.

(And for Aaron....)

Aaron was waiting for Nani to come home.... Well, his exhaustion took ahold of him by the hair, and bluntly slammed his face against the kitchen table. As much as he was anxious beyond belief, tiredness eventually made it so he fell asleep. It was uncomfortable, but he didn't really notice it as his head rested in his arms-- he was slumped forward against the kitchen table as he sat in a chair. Allen was long asleep, so he couldn't wake Aaron up so the panther could set himself up in bed.

(Roy: Eet's fine... eme
