Oh mai... This is new...

"You're telling me." The chinchilla replied, and yawned in response. Once she managed to get her yawn under control, she noticed the sunset, and said, "....The sunset's so beautiful...." She couldn't really see it well inside the infirmary, so she watched it intently.

"N-nevermind..." Shay shook his head, then leaned his head against his hand again, pinching the bridge of his nose. "It's nothing..." He was just a sad, lonely person, and all most people saw was a moody teenager who always had an insult ready... but there was always more to a person than what you saw on the surface.

Not wanting to press it, Alpha stopped asking, "Sorry.... It's alright...." He ran a hand through his feathery hair, which stuck up a little because he hadn't exactly done much with it since he had been in the infirmary. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to..."

"It is..." He agreed, "I used to watch them with my family during the summer when I was little...we'd make s'mores and stuff on the fire..."-he yawned again.

If I shut my eye for like five minutes I'll be alright...


He closed his eyes for about five minutes but they would remain shut until the sun disappeared as he practically fell asleep holding onto Roxy loosely.

"Jonah....?" Roxy whisper-hissed to him, but the wolf was long asleep by now. She sighed a little, but smiled a little. He looked like he needed it.... Roxy curled up next to him, and felt her eyes demanding to be closed... She found herself dozing on Jonah again, feeling calm and more comforted than before.

(Shall we skip a little bit...maybe Chirpy could have Ruth freak out that she's not in the infirmary and it's dark and stuff outside?)

(Yes, we can timeskip. ^^" I didn't know what else to do, anyway.)

(*pushes Shay at Alpha* e3e' ...)

"I-it's just something stupid..." Shay muttered, deciding it would be pointless to tell him he had really cared about Celeste but lost her before he could tell her. He'd just learn to love her the way he loved Laura, more like a sister than anything else. He could do it, eventually... With time to heal. The bat sighed, his skinny shoulders drooping. "And it's just been a long time since I talked about, y'know... my feelings. It just feels weird."

(You two need me? owo?)

(Just for Ruth to freak the fuck out cause Jonah and Roxy fell asleep together watching the sunset near the edge of the safe haven.)

"I can tell." Alpha replied, and then added, "If you don't want to tell me, that's not a big deal. I'm not that nosy. Keeping them bottled up isn't gonna do anyone good, especially you." He didn't exactly know Shay was too late for that, but the hybrid had an idea.

(Okie-dokie.)

Meanwhile, there was a bit of a panic at Roxy's room. The chinchilla seemed to have forgotten that she had a doctor assigned to her, and that doctor didn't know she had left, and she had been gone a long time and it was getting dark... Nani just about had a heart attack when her patient just went missing, and practically cried as she told Ruth, who then flipped shit and ranted about people not paying enough attention. Then the mouse stormed off with a tearful Nani to try to hunt down their missing patient.

"It just doesn't matter anymore, is all... there's no point in telling you..." Shay sighed, scratching at his head again. He then offered, "I'll get those dishes out of your way and bring you a water in case you get thirsty later, I guess." He got up, going to get the tray off the nightstand. It was a nice distraction.

(Sorry Nani.... ^^" 

Roxy: Shit....)

Knowing the conversation was over, Alpha nodded a little, "Alright.... Thank you...." He then fell silent, not exactly sure of what to do or say now.

(Nani: How could you just disappear like that?! You had me worried!

Hehe... ^^')

(Roxy: I'm sorry! oAo I didn't think I would be out this long!

Aaron: ...

(It'll be okay, it's just the shipping, ladies.

Nani: Shipping...? Oh.. OH! Oh, I get it! ouo

SHE FINALLY UNDERSTAAAAANDS!)

Shay took a little while to come back to the room, since he needed some space to breathe. He let out a few stray tears, wiped off his face, took some deep breaths, then got a bottle of water and headed for the room again. He seemed completely composed upon his return, setting a bottle of water on the stand next to the bed. "Here's your water."

(Sasha: And then Alpha grabbed Shay's arm, telling him to wait... He pulled him closer, his eyes filled with--

Shay: *whacks her with an IV pole* Staaaahp! >//A//<

Aaron: Oh.... 

WE SHALL ALL BE NEPETA AND HAVE SHIPPING WALLS OF DOOOOOOOOOM! *flails* Okay, so in Homestuck, Nepeta (Leo) has a shipping wall. I want it so bad. XD What breaks my heart is that her ultimate OTP is shipping herself with someone who doesn't love her back. *dies*)

Alpha noticed that Shay had been gone for a while, but said nothing about it. The bat's eyes looked slightly red, but again, he didn't say much, "Thank you... Again." 

(SASHA NO! XD

(That is so sad... ;~; *dies*

Sasha: But the pentagon, I must enforce it!)

"No problem," Shay assured him without much of an edge to his voice, intentionally trying to be a little nicer. "Thanks for the talk. I appreciated it."

(I know. But she's friends with my favourite character, Equius (Sagittarius), and their friendship is my favourite thing. It kind of makes up for how her love life is kind of sad. oAo One of the funny things about Equius is that he has super strength, but he's a mechanical genius. He mad an entire body for another character (he liked her, but didn't end up with her, either), in order for her to survive. She was kind of a ghost, and could not fight without it.... She kind of ripped out her own heart, and then kissed him, but that's another story for another time. o3o")

"It's not a problem at all.... I might not exactly be for social interaction, but I do appreciate some interaction." Alpha smiled a little, glad that Shay was warming up to him a little... And maybe he was, too.

Jonah woke up and suddenly had a sinking feeling in his gut. The night above was absolutely beautiful, cloudless and you could see every star in the cosmos...and to top it off he was with Roxy who lay curled up next to him...it was then he realized that it was now about midnight and she was supposed to be at the infirmary.

Ruth is going to murder me...

Roxy, surprisingly, still slept. Her body just responded to the exhaustion, and she slept without dreams, which was good and bad in it's own sense. Jonah was keeping her warm as she was oblivious to his sudden sinking feeling right in his gut.

(... I seriously need to read this. omo" I am so in the dark.)

"Yeah... How're you feeling?" Shay asked, wanting to make sure he wasn't too sore. "If you wanna get up and walk around to keep from getting stiff, we can do that. I don't mind." And he'd rather the attention be on the avian hybrid, too, and sort of felt like he owed him for that talk. Alpha was probably one of the more understanding people he had met, which he appreciated. Both he and Sandi were great people... Maybe he could make some new friends and hang out away from home more often, instead of sulking in his room.

(Ruth: YES I AM GOING TO MURDER YOU!)

The mouse and ocelot duo eventually saw the metal parts of Jonah's body glimmering in the low light, and ran towards the two. Ruth shouted, "JONAH, YOU IRRESPONSIBLE MORON!" She stormed over, the little mouse looking terrifying in her anger, "What were you thinking, bringing one of my patients out here without telling anyone?! And keeping her out until the middle of the night?! Do you know how worried we were?!" She smacked him on the top of the head, since he was sitting and she could reach him.

Nani was in tears, just happy to see Roxy safe. She took off her sweater so the chinchilla could wear it, since it was chilly at night. "Roxy, you're alright! You guys should have left a note or something, you had me worried sick!"

(Yes you do. o3o" It's really bloody long and confusing. I'm nowhere near done reading it. I still have to be introduced into ANOTHER set of trolls, but that's another story for another time. XD Just, the first Act is slow, and don't be turned off by it. Trust me.)

Alpha weighed his options, before saying, "I think a walk would do me good..." His legs were starting to get sore and cramped up, so it would help him feel better. "I just don't want to go far and have Ruth on my ass...."

The chinchilla suddenly jerked upright at the sound of yelling voices, looking freaked-- she was disorientated and fuzzy with sleep, so she didn't really know what the hell was going on. W-what?! Roxy then noticed she could barely see a few feet in front of her face because there was no sun, and managed to pick out the forms of Ruth, Jonah, and Nani, "N-Nani...?" Looking overwhelmed and spooked, she huddled in the ocelot's sweater, her fur fluffed out and her eyed wide.
