Roxy hadn't expected that, so her face flushed a little, "O-oh, um, sure...." The chinchilla got up slowly, before taking Jonah's arm, "I can walk fine, but I would rather not die on the stairs... My stamina is still crap, though."

(Oh gawd... What would we do? oAo' They're like the oldest couple in the entire RP... I dunno if I could ship them with anyone else for a long while.

(Yeah.... omo I've been with this couple for over two years... But it has been going downhill for a bit. In Pantheon, it'll probably survive, as she isn't being kept alive by death and stuff. 

Jayden: ...*sighs*

Laura wasn't allowed to see Roy until the next day; she had been on antibiotics since the morning she woke up sick, and had to be on said antibiotics for twenty-four hours until she was deemed no longer contagious, and thus it was safe for her to be around the bat. Though she still felt awful, she knew she couldn't get him sick and really needed to see him... She hadn't really slept all night, having continuously woken up in bouts of panic and grief because of what had happened.

Celeste and Shay sat on the couch, and Shay decided he would walk Laura to the infirmary since he needed to go in to work anyway. He bid farewell to Celeste, then collected his sickly companion and left the apartment with her, hoping nobody would try to stop her from seeing Roy.

(Laura: ;~; *still hasn't forgiven Richard*

Oh come on, he didn't mean it that way!)

(Okay, he did have a point about you being sick. Just saying. 

Richard: ...) 

Roy didn't really know what to think right now. He wasn't concerned about himself at all-- he was worried sick about EJ (he didn't want him to make his prosthetic), and Laura. His sister eventually had the courage in order to visit her brother the day before, but he had yet to see EJ... Laura was another story. The bat knew she wasn't going to take this well, especially since she was sick. Richard's side of the story wasn't very good, either. So, the bat waited. He wasn't sure what he was waiting for, but Laura would come eventually.... 

"Roy... You need to rest." His mother said, as she sensed he was acting a little anxious, "Is your leg bothering you?" 

"No, eet's fine." It was a part lie-- the actual stump didn't really hurt, but what was supposed to be there did, "I'm zhust... I don't know whaht to do, or really say, when Laura comes..." He didn't bother thinking 'if', because he knew that was not an option with her. 

"I know.... She's just scared and concerned for you, that's all.... We all are. We couldn't risk getting you sick, especially after the trauma your system went through..." 

Roy sighed a little, and just leaned more against his pillows-- he absentmindedly brushed his hair out of his face, "I know, I know...."

(Laura: I'm sorry. I couldn't really handle my feelings at the moment... ;~; Still can't.)

Finally, Shay and Laura arrived at the infirmary. The bat led the way to Roy's room and knocked at the door with one hand, his other arm wound around the small marten by his side. Laura was already trying not to start crying again... She was normally quite tough, but with the person she loved going through something like this, she couldn't help but hurt for him. Shay hoped things would be less bleak in his patients' room. There was only so much he could take in a day.

(Richard: I undairstand.)

Anna's ear twitched when she heard a knock at the door, and rose to her feet to answer it. Roy only watched her, as he was unable to move on his own without assistance. I wonder who that is.... And I think I have an idea of who it is. 


Roy's mother opened the door, and saw Laura and Shay standing there. Laura looked terrible, not that she would say that out loud, and greeted, "Good morning you two... You're feeling better, I hope?" She asked Laura, even though it looked like the marten was struggling to keep her composure. 

Roy saw who was at the door, and his ears angled back a little. Aurora.... She looked exhausted, and pretty much leaned on Shay for support. Inwardly, he braced himself for what came ahead.

Laura couldn't seem to speak at the moment, so Shay answered for her in a somewhat formal tone, "Her fever has gone down a little, and she's been on antibiotics long enough to no longer be contagious, so Roy is safe." He rubbed Laura's arm, continuing, "If you need me, I'll be around, but... Yeah." He then let go of the marten, so she could be with the Brodeurs for a while.

A little unsteady, Laura walked from Shay to Anna, unable to help but hold onto the mother bat for a moment for support. Then she moved from Anna into the room, heading towards Roy, who she addressed in a soft, worried, shaky voice, "H-how are you feeling...?"

Anna nodded, thankful that she was no longer deemed contagious, "Thank you, Shay... I'll come and get you if needed." The bat watched Shay off, and looked a little surprised when Laura clung onto her for a moment, before drifting off to Roy. Anna then looked away, and closed the door behind her.

Roy watched Laura as she shuffled over to him on the bed, and shifted closer to her, "I-I'm bettair.... Are you okay...?" He heard the conversation between his mother and Shay, but couldn't help but ask himself.

Laura paused, then just shook her head in response. How could she be okay with him hurt like this? The marten climbed up onto the bed, up onto Roy, and draped herself over his torso; her head rested on his chest, her legs straddling him and tail draped over his own legs. Her arms slipped around him, and she pressed her face against his chest with a bit more force than just a nuzzle, her face scrunching up as she tried hard not to cry, her face already a little red from her slight fever. "N-no..."
