After partially getting over what happened with Stone's heart, at least enough to stop being as horribly paranoid over him, Scotty managed to just spend some time with him and rest... both kind of needed the break. At the moment, the sheep had captured his lover and held him in a still-protective hug, laying down on the bed and gently petting the hybrid's orange hair. He was quiet, trying to think of something to talk about... eventually, he asked, "Do you have other famely than Swan?"

(Time for feelsy family talks... eue)

Meanwhile, EJ was checking on Rachel, quietly opening the door and peeking into her room. "Rachel...? How are you feeling?" He really hoped she was doing better, since he had been very worried what with her high fever.

Stone managed to relax with Scotty, and pressed his head against the sheep's hand when he started to pet the hybrid's hair. He purred faintly, just content on lying with Scotty, but the sheep's question silenced him. Pressing close to his boyfriend, the hybrid said in a small voice, "Yes, I did... I was about four when Swan was born-- she was a triplet, with my other sisters Moss and Petal... They've...both died. My mother...she was a gifted healer and doctor...but she's gone, too. My dad... I've never heard from him in a long time..." Stone's ears angled back visibly, as talking about it hurt a lot.

Still sporting a bedhead that went everywhere, the said bat looked like she had just woken up a few minutes ago... But she did look more lively. Rachel smiled a little at EJ, and said, "I'm feeleeng bettair... Not completely 100%, buht bettair zan yestairday..." The bat still had a fever, but it had gone down, even though she still had to push some of her covers off her on the bed.

Scotty lowered his head and leaned his cheek against the top of Stone's head. "Oh..." He had been wondering why Stone and Swan didn't live with a family, and now he knew why... "Why doesn't Swan lev weth us? I mean... she es stell so young, and... I offered to let her move en, ef she wanted. I feel like you might be happier ef you were weth your sester more... I know I mess my seblengs..."

"That's good," EJ was visibly relieved, giving her a bit of a smile in return as he walked over and started gently fixing her hair a little. "Do you feel hungry at all yet?"

(Okay, so... This is my mind being evil, but also a big fucking deal in the real world. Seeing posts on Tumblr about people working in drive through or whatever and purposely giving their customers the wrong order. Like giving someone Pepsi instead of Diet Pepsi, all because they were rude or something, but they could have been diabetic, and could have died. As much as this is kind of a big deal, I was thinking KHS. I'm just gonna put that out there... e3e~

Also, I had a random nausea spell last night... And I have no idea where the hell it came from. I'm better now, though.)

"I-I would like that... I guess I just haven't really thought about that much, b-because I was so focused on you moving in with me..." The hybrid could feel Scotty's warm breath on his head, and pressed closer to him, as he was very warm. It comforted him, especially since they were talking about a somewhat touchy subject. "And everything that happened in between..."

Rachel was aware that she had lost a little weight over the few days that she had been sick, as she just didn't feel like eating. Now that she was feeling more like her old self, she spoke, "A leettle..."

(AGRO NUUUUUUUUUU!!!!! QAQ!!!! *dies*)

Scotty nodded, figuring that would be the case. Though I hope Swan doesn't question us about... doing it... again... He pushed those thoughts aside, unable to really focus on them. He was realizing how much he missed his own family, and had no idea if any of them were still alive or not. His mother and a few of his siblings had some minor supernatural abilities, so it was all too easy to imagine them being carted off by the Sect.

"That's good," EJ was even happier to hear that, and walked over to give her an affectionate little hug and a kiss on the forehead. "I can bring you some toast to try, if you want, or you could come out into the dining room if you feel up to it."

"W-what about your family...? I mean, didn't you say that you had six siblings or something...?" Stone was aware that Scotty had gone quiet, but he couldn't help but ask. Especially since they were on the sensitive topic, "You don't have to tell me if it's uncomfortable or upsetting for you..."

Rachel really wasn't in the mood to get up, and she didn't want to get dizzy and possibly fall over. So, she said, "I'm fine 'ere... Some toast ees fine, zough... Zank you." The bat also hoped that EJ would stay with her for a bit.

Scotty sighed a little, admitting, "I mess them...  my whole famely. But I do not know what happened to them. When all thes happened, I was away from home, and when I came back our farm was destroyed, and they were gone." He had no idea if they were alive or dead, captured, or just roaming around looking for a safe place. "All of my seblings are older than me, except one, and I know they can handle themselves, but... not against an army."

"Okay. I'll be back," EJ turned and left the room, going out into the kitchen to make Rachel some toast and get her something to drink (juice, for the sake of blood sugar), then returned to her room with the items on a little tray she could sit in her lap, like what the infirmary used. "Here..." He carefully set it on her lap, glad that he could do something to help her. The awful feeling of helplessness he had when she was sick was hardly bearable.

(Good man EJ...good man. *salutes EJ* ;u; )

Stone propped himself up on his elbow, and his ears angled back a little. Even though he didn't know the sheep's family, it was terrible to hear, "I'm sorry... Were they supernatural...? Or some of them, at least...?" Since when did the Sect go that far north...? That's awful... Aurora, please keep them safe, for Scotty's sake.

Rachel nodded in response to EJ, and waited for him to come back. She shifted, and turned to fluff up her pillow as it still had the indent of her head from when she was sleeping. When the cat returned and set the tray on her lap, she smiled a little again, "Zank you... Can you seet wiz me?" The bat sipped at the juice a little, not that she could taste it all that much from her stuffed up nose.
