also whenever anyone has the chance, i'd like to ask if there are any triggers I should be aware of because some of my characters have stuff that could be triggering and I don't want to freak anyone out?

Triggers... I mean, we did outlaw a few things as a group prior to you rejoining. Rape/sexual abuse/sexual assault/attempted rape was the big one that is a no-no.

It really depends on the stuff you want to use. It's best to run it by everyone so we can be like, "Yeah, sure, that's fine." Or, "Oh gawd no." XD

Hrrmmmmmmmm well one of them have sexual assault in her history but it's not in detail or anything it's just implied that it happened? It's a really critical part of her character and it isn't there for a pity party or anything. Nor will it be mentioned much because it's not something she would tell everyone. If it does happen to be mentioned I can put a trigger warning or whatever and you wont have to read it if that helps. Also two of them are druggies.

Er, I can't say I 100% approve of these plans... The "druggy" thing does have to do with the main plot, so I can't really say no to it, as long as they aren't doing something horrendous. If it's the drug equivalent of marijuana, I'm okay with it, but not something really "hard"... Drugs in general bug me and I was hoping none of our characters would actually be involved with them, but them getting a little high on tree sap is okay as long as it doesn't mutilate them like heroin or meth does.

I still want to say no to sexual assault... it's just too icky. Doesn't matter if you warn us about the post, because it's still there even if we don't read it. The "trigger" isn't so much concerning as the general "do not approve of it being in the RP." That is our only big no-no in the group... Blueh and I put that rule in place when some icky things were showing up in stories that we didn't like, and haven't budged on the topic ever since we all agreed to it. I think it was even on a rule page we came up with at one point of time. It's not a "trigger," it's just something we don't want in this group, and it was a decision made as a group. I ask that you'll comply with that and choose something else to have in the history of this character, perhaps something less dire like just having a jerk boyfriend who only valued her for her looks.

Just kinda posting this from the Evenstell front page: "Please no excessive gore/sexual activity (i.e. rape). Doing the do is okay, but please have it to 'fade to black', although some foreplay is acceptable."

Maybe during whatever, your character wanted to stop, and their boyfriend complied, but started being an asshole to them about it after?

Hrrmmmmmm It's just kind of hard to change it when it wasn't about a relationship with a boy, it was more of an outcome from pissing a group of people off. If it the fact that it's sexual, I could change it to just physical violence. But if it makes you very uncomfortable, I would consider that a form of a trigger. 
   It's just a mature theme, this sort of thing happens all the time and a lot of people I know have dealt with it at some point and it's part of what makes them who they are now. It won't ever be brought up either, it's just that it's there in her character. Like I said can have it just be violence if that makes you feel more comfortable...  But yeah I can't really change it to being something less dire when the whole purpose of it being there is how critically it has changed her. If that makes sense. :/ and if I recall the issue Chirp had with Kolerin was that it wasn't adult. I can understand if you don't want to read rape in roleplay or whatever, and I have no intentions of doing that, but restricting it from even history of my character seems a little extreme... I know sexual assault is icky, but it happens, you know?

There's adult and there's graphic... I want it to be a little grown up I guess, less random spontaneous violence and things overdone like we used to. Just the writing style and stuff. And I want more coherency and less teenagery sob stories. XD I don't necessarily want more "adult themes." They aren't fun and are just upsetting... Especially since Sil and Blueh are younger. You need to remember that. *pats head* And I am a bit of a delicate flower. XD

Normal violence is fine, but sexual assault is still very no. Especially in the form you were putting it in... It just kinda is. *shrug*
