(I'm here, and I don't know what you're talking about.... ^^' It isn't underlined for me.)

(For me it just suddenly becomes underlined and then disappears...oh well XD)

(Weird..... XD But the page sometimes glitches the fuck out on my iPad and Phone..... it's actually kind of annoying sometimes.)

(Chirpy poofed last night because she was tired and passed out. And I feel so awful today. *dies* My voice is just like dead... I can barely talk. *flips table* I did a little schoolwork anyway, though.)

Nani headed for where Aaralyn was staying, hoping the little girl wasn't too shaken up from the sudden commotion. She knocked on the door, calling, "Aaralyn? Hello? It's me, Nani... I'm here to check on you. Are you alright? Can you answer the door?" She tried to be patient, but Aaralyn was just a little kid, and she really felt the need to get in there.

"Oh no..." Laura knew that he was getting sick-- it was clear by the look on his face. Despite the fact that winter was over, Roy still have virtually no immune system, and Laura could only hope it wouldn't get bad this time. She sat next to him on the bed, unable to help but wrap her arms around him again, trying to comfort the miserable bat, "I'll get some medicine from the infirmary and let your parents know... You should stay with me. Your dad and sister might get sick if you go home."

She knew he was worried about Chase, but he also needed to worry about himself... Laura hesitated, not willing to leave him even for a few minutes. He just seemed so shaken up, like he'd start falling apart if she left him even for a second.

Aaralyn got off of Chase's bed and went to the door. She reached up and opened it to see the ocelot. "I'm ok...what happened?" she asked.

(Aaralyn is totally going to comfort Sasha first XD)

(It's okay. ^^' We understand that you aren't feeling well and was tired. I was tired, too, and was going to go to bed anyway. But losing your voice sucks. D8 )

Roy didn't trust himself to speak, and only nodded very, very slightly. His head was starting to hurt, and it got worse when he attempted to move his head at all. The bat was also thankful and relieved she would care for him.... he really needed it. However, he didn't want the marten to go and leave him alone, even for a few minutes to get him some medicine. Roy's arms were hung limply around Laura, but were tight enough for her to not really be able to move much... But she was warm, and he was warm from his fever, and was kind of making it worse for him, even though he shivered like he was cold. His longer hair was flat against his forehead, slicked a little with sweat. Dammit.... why did I have to get sick now...? 

(How're you guys today?)

Nani smiled a bit when the little hedgehog opened the door, and though she wasn't all that good with kids, she did her best, "Well, Chase was in an accident. He's okay, just sore, but he won't be able to come home today. So I came to bring you to stay with us healers for now, and you can see him there. He'll be happy to see you, it might make him feel better."

Laura didn't complain as Roy held her there, seemingly effortlessly. He was using a little more force than he was probably aware of, but she didn't complain-- it wasn't like she actually wanted to move away from him. The marten pressed her head against his, sitting up on her knees to give her a little extra height as she held onto him.

Just then, she heard footsteps, and looked back over her shoulder to see Celeste standing in the doorway, looking confused. Quickly, Laura pulled her hands away from Roy to sign some instructions for her sister, telling her to go get medicine, find out how Chase was doing, and warn the Brodeur family that Roy was sick and would be staying with Laura. The younger marten nodded and hurried off, understanding the severity of the situation after giving Roy just a single glance-- he already looked like he was developing a nasty fever, one that they definitely did not want to spread. With the Brodeurs' reputation, it was bound to spread if Roy was around his family.

Relieved, Laura murmured, "Good girl, Celeste..." She was glad her sister was around, especially since she wasn't as helpless as she seemed, just because she was deaf. Celeste was very capable of helping out. The older marten turned back to Roy, reaching up to brush his hair out of his face, without even thinking about what she was doing, "You just need to focus on calming down, okay?" He still looked kinda freaked out, and upset, like he was yelling at himself on the inside for getting sick, "You need to get better before anything else... you've done what you needed to, and now the rest of us are here to handle the rest. You can rely on us..." You can rely on me.

"An accident?! What happened to him?! Take me to him please!" Aaralyn said. She was terrified of what might have happened to him. She wanted to see him immediately though.

(I'm okay. *facedesk* I have homework, but I can work on that later...)

Roy's ears were angled back with his headache, but they twitched a little when he heard footsteps approaching the unfamiliar bedroom. He glanced over and saw Celeste standing there-- he was about to attempt to say something, but he couldn't really form words, and Celeste wouldn't have heard him anyway. Roy was relieved to have Laura cover for him and explain to Celeste about the situation, so that she wouldn't have to leave the sickly bat. He coughed a little, wincing, before turning back to Laura as she brushed some of his hair from his face. Normally, he probably would have leaned away from her hand, but he could really care less now. "...I'll try..." He managed to rasp, but he still couldn't fully calm down.... Who would be in charge until he and Chase recovered? He had no idea.

"Calm down, it's okay!" Nani assured her, trying not to panic when Aaralyn freaked out. She forced herself to stay calm, reaching down to grasp the little girl's hand, "Come with me, and we'll find him, okay? I know where he is, but you have to stay calm if you want to see him."

Laura felt Roy's forehead, able to detect the fever that was developing, "You'll do more than try... You'll do what I say or I'll have to  be overbearing on you." She smiled a bit, softening her stern words with the simple gesture before gently kissing his warm forehead, "While Celeste gets your medicine, I'll get a damp cloth for your forehead. I don't have to leave, I just need to get down..." She slid off the bed, going back over to her basin of water and dipping a cloth in it, "Let me know if you need anything, no matter how small a thing it is, okay? I'm going to try my best to take care of you, but I'm no mind reader."

Aaralyn nodded and allowed Nani to take her to Chase. She was worried if he actually was going to be ok or if he would even be awake.

Roy probably would have laughed a little if he wasn't feeling so miserable and sick. However, he managed a weak smile, before his already rosy red face went even darker at the little kiss Laura gave to his too-warm forehead. He kind of wished she didn't take her hand away, as it was cold, but a damp cloth sounded even better. He watcher her move over to the basin, before speaking in his raspy, even more nasily voice that made his accent a lot thicker than it already was, "Okay.... I weell, I promeese..... Zank you, as well..."

By the time Nani and Aaralyn arrived at the infirmary, Chase had been cleaned up and bandaged. He was laying on his stomach in a bed, his eyes closed, the blankets pulled up to his waist, while his torso was wrapped with clean white gauze. Now that he was no longer crushed under a tree, he really didn't seem to be in too bad of a shape. At least, he didn't look like he was going to die there.

"See? He's fine, just resting," Nani assured Aaralyn, glad that the healers had made quick work of taking care of Chase. He would need some time to heal, especially with broken bones, but he would survive.

Laura returned to his side with the damp cloth, smiling a bit, "You took care of me when I needed you... It's what we do." She gently laid the cloth over his head, "There... Now just lean back and get some rest. I can bring a book or something if you get too bored."

"When will he wake up?" she asked then let go of Nani's hand to go over to the bed and rest her hand on his hand.

Roy let out a bit of a sigh once the cold, damp cloth was put into his head-- he leaned more against the headboard, starting to relax a little. One of his long legs was poking out from under the blanket to also keep him cool, while the other was under it to keep him warm, "To be 'onest, I don't read much.... So, can you zhust stay wiz me zen...?"

(I mean a getting a bit closer to each other kind of situation. Maybe she nearly falls into the river, but Nick catches her and they end up being kind of close.)
