EJ stayed with Rachel even though she was sick; tonight, like most nights, he was laying next to her and trying to sleep. It wasn't working out so well... Every time he closed his eyes and began to doze, awful images wormed their way into his head, infecting his dreams. He startled awake each time, grabbing at the blankets and staring around the room with wide eyes that glowed faintly in the dark. The cat eventually began to fear waking Rachel up while she was sick, so he relocated himself out to the couch in the living room. He curled up with a blanket as tried to get back to sleep, but it just resulted in tossing and turning, his small form thrashing around restlessly. Again, he woke himself up, this time by falling off the couch and hitting the floor. He laid there stiffly, staring across the room and finally giving up on the notion of sleep... Scared and remembering things he wished he could forget forever, he just laid there on the floor and cried to himself a little before picking himself up and shuffling down the hallway to see if Anna or Richard were awake by chance... He considered waking them if they weren't. His heart was pounding, his stomach in knots; he couldn't calm down by himself, nevermind sleep.

Shiloh was thrilled. Instead of rolling over in bed and opening her eyes to blurry lumps of shadow and light, she could see some more distinct shapes... Distinct colors. Some sort of depth perception. The stoat sat up, pulling the bandage off her head (it had been over her eyes but slid up onto her forehead in her sleep). "I... I can see a little!"

The said Brodeur parents that EJ sought out were fast asleep in their bedroom, all curled up together, with a blanket tangled in their legs. Anna was curled close to Richard, with her long hair out of it's usual low ponytail (much like how Roy tied his own hair back) and sporting a miraculous bedhead. She let out a little breath in her sleep, and shifted, before falling still again.

Richard didn't move when his shorter wife shifted, but when he heard a faint thump from somewhere in the house, his ears twitched, and his green eyes opened. It took him a moment to shift into a sitting position (and not wake up Anna), and he rubbed at his face, before brushing some of his (greying) blond hair from his face. What was that...? He was sort of convinced that he was just hearing things, or just imagined it, but he wasn't so sure. Even at his age, his ears were still pretty keen.

Phillip was asleep at this time, but was also aware of the outside world at the same time. Shiloh woke him up, and he groggily sat up, before looking at her in confusion, "Hmm...?" He didn't really catch what she said, so he just kind of stared at her blankly, as he was still groggy with sleep.
