Oh mai... This is new...(2)

(AAAAAAAAND MOMENT OF TRUTH! 8D) 


Roy was thankful Chase agreed to move away from the bank, and he was about to follow after the canine when Sasha's shriek caused his veins to turn to ice. He looked up, stifling a gasp, his eyes wide, as the tree came loose from the clay-like soil. He quickly dove out of the way, running on adrenaline and skidded and slipped on the grass, getting mud on his pants but that wasn't his first priority. He panted, his heart beating quickly in his ears as he only stared at the tree that was no halfway in the water... 


Rachel had teleported away quickly, also hipped up on adrenaline, and appeared a few feet away from everyone else, looking startled. However, she was the first one to recover, and ingest what Sasha and Pippa just said... "Oh God!" Now starting to panic a little, the bat hurried after Pippa, trying not to slip in the mud but not really caring now; Chase couldn't be stuck! "Chase?!"

Sasha struggled to her feet, overwhelmed by panic as she rushed after Pippa and Rachel. No, no... He's all I've got, he can't be... She pushed past the other girls, skidding down the riverbank, towards the tree, "Chasey?! Oh god... Oh my god..." She froze, standing there in the mud as she stared at the tree... "H-he's..."

Groaning, Chase moved a little, letting them all know he was alive-- though he was trapped beneath the tree. The soft mud had cushioned the tree's fall enough that it hadn't killed him instantly, but he wasn't any less stuck. He was laying on his stomach, the tree resting on his lower back, pinning him to the muddy riverbank, pushing him down so he slowly kept sinking deeper and deeper into the muck. He was very, very stuck, and with the water and mud seeping around him, he was in danger of suffocating or drowning if he didn't get out of there quickly. He whined softly, slowly coming to-- he had blacked out when the tree struck him, but was now waking up, and it was no pleasant feeling to find himself being crushed by a tree. If the others didn't know he was alive yet, they knew now, because he let out a loud, high-pitched shriek as he felt the pain of the thing crushing him, and the sinking feeling of being pushed down into the mud.

"Quickly try and just lift the tree off of him! Sasha and I can carefully pull him out. Rachel can teleport him to the home and the healers can help him!" Pippa said. She believed her plan would work since she didn't want Chase to just die when they could do something.

It took Roy a second to recover and get to his feet-- he shivered a little from the mud and water. He was confused why everyone was crowding around the tree, but the pain filled shriek that could only belong to Chase snapped him from his daze. The bat hurried over, fighting panic as they had to stay calm. Oh God, no! This shouldn't have happened! Now was definitely not the time to go over what he should have done. 



"Peeppa, I can't teleport more zan myself!" That was true-- she just couldn't. She also couldn't bring many objects with her, as it just didn't work. 


Pushing past Pippa, Rachel, and Sasha, Roy went over to the tree and Chase. His heart was still beating against his ribs, threatening to punch a hole through his chest as he said, "I don't zink I can do zis on my own." As much as he had super strength, it was still a pretty big tree-- at least two people needed to push it on both sides, "Sasha, 'elp me. Now." Also, as much as he hated working with the canine, he had go now, as she was the strongest out of Pippa and Rachel.

"Then if you can teleport to the base and tell the healers to get them prepared because Chase is injured and he needs help, that would be great help." Pippa said.

Rachel glanced at her brother, who only nodded curtly. There was a serious glint in his eyes, but she could tell he was inwardly fighting panic. Not waisting anymore time, Rachel bounced to the Safekeep base, the imprints of her shoes the only indicator that she had been there a second ago. "Ruz! Marie! Anyone!" She wasted no time, once she made it to the Safekeep, to run to the healers, partly dripping wet and full of mud, "A tree fell on Chase and 'e's really 'urt!"

Sasha was frozen with fear at first, but then she snapped out of it, running over to grab the tree and try to get it off her brother, "Hang on, Chase! J-just hang on!" However, her feet kept slipping in the mud... "Shit, this isn't working! Pippa, stop yapping and help! Someone find some vines, there should be plenty growing on the trees! We need to get some leverage to get this thing off of him! And keep his face out of the water-- if he drowns, it won't matter if we get the damn tree off!"

Chase clawed helplessly at the ground for a moment, but the shock and pain was too much to handle. His head rested right on the mud, water threateningly lapping at his muzzle.

Pippa quickly grabbed some vines and handed them to Roy quickly before getting to Chase and lifting his head up a little bit to keep the water away from his muzzle. However this caused her to sink a little bit deep into the mud.

Shit... The mud wasn't holding up like Sasha said, and the lapping water was still rushing past Chase, just centimetres away from his muzzle. He took the vines immediately from Pippa, thankful she was keeping Chase's head above the water. Roy had to work fast-- he started tying the vine around the trunk, and hoped it was long enough for them, "Chase, you're goeeng to be okay!" He didn't know if his foster brother was conscious, "Zhust 'ang on!"

Chase's head rested limply in Pippa's hands, one of his eyes halfway open, but glazed over. He was in so much shock at the moment he stopped feeling the pain, his green eyes staring off into space as he just sat there limply.

Sasha helped with the vines, "If we loop the vine around one of those sturdier trees nearby, we can use it for leverage and still stand on dry, solid ground. Think like a pulley system. Now fly up there and loop the end of the vine around that tree!" She pointed to a tree not to far away, " Then we pull and it'll lift the tree up and away from him. We only need it to move a few inches, and then you'll have to hold it like that so me and Pippa can drag him out of the mud."

Startled by Rachel's sudden appearance, the healers looked up with big eyes. Nani was checking up on a patient in the main infirmary room, so she was the first to hear, "Oh god! Alpha! Get things ready! Someone's been hurt badly!"

(I don't know why, but for some reason I want Chirp to draw Sasha standing behind Pippa who is sitting in a chair ready to get her ears pierced, but she says "Are you sure you can do this correctly?". I just don't know XD)

"Don't worry Chase, we'll help you. Just hand in there." she told Chase gently. She just wanted him to be at home already and safe and sound.

Roy only nodded, before taking the rest of the vine, coiling it around one of his arms, before flying up to the tree Sasha indicated. He misjudged it a little and nearly missed landing on it because of the adrenaline rush, but he managed to land on it, uncoiled the rope, and threw it downwards to the ground. He jumped off the branch, grunting a little when he landed heavily on the ground, but he was thankfully on solid ground, "Okay, eet's ready!"

Alpha had jumped a little when Nani called for him, saying someone was hurt badly. He had also overheard Rachel as well, and started to get things ready quickly, moving as fast as he could. He just hoped Roy and his group could bring in Chase as quickly as he could, as the canine wouldn't survive for much longer if his shock was so severe.

(Oh gawd... XD Pippa, don't trust Sasha with sharp things. Just don't.)

Running over to join Roy, Sasha grabbed the end of the vine, "Okay, mister super-strength, start pulling!" She pulled on the vine with all her strength, hoping her human might would somehow make a difference, though Roy was really the one they were relying on. The vine rubbed at their palms, leaving scrapes, but she didn't stop-- her hands could bleed for all she cared. Her brother could die if they stopped.

Chase didn't move, didn't speak. He just laid there, his eyes closed. Some blood was visible on his fur and clothes, now, and it was clear he was injured somewhere from the tree striking him.

(XD I don't know just lolz you want to draw that? If so then I want to see the sketch and I will color it and do the best shading that I can with it XD)

Pippa wished they could hurry up. She knew that Chase was hurt, but they needed to move him when the tree was off. She wished that time would move faster to the point where he was with the healers, in safe hands.

Roy wasted no time pulling-- the vines scrapped at his palms, causing them to bleed, but he didn't dare stop. He grunted, his arms shaking a little with the strain-- even with his strength, this was still very, very difficult. He was pulling with all his might, which was about he equivalent to seven or eight grown men. His heels dug into the ground, threatening to slip, but he was managing. Sweat was already appearing on his face and hair. Slowly, but ever so surely, the tree started to lift off of Chase, and was showing the damage it had done, as well as the blood. Th bat leader wouldn't give up, even though he was tiring out fast, "P-pull 'im out! N-now!" His voice was strained with effort-- "I can 'andle zis, buht not for long!"

Pippa still holding his head in on hand grabbed Chase's other arm. "Sasha come help quick!" she said.

It's 9:35 here, Sil. And I'm sick. So I'm tired. XD But I'm glad you liked the story. ouo I'll incorporate more future kids in other stories soon.)

(Time zones suck XD I will be having next week off for Spring Break.)

(Awesome! My spring break is soon I think, but I will be working on catching up with schoolwork. I'm behind because I'm sick, clearly, and I'm so damn miserable I don't even bother trying with school. I can barely sleep at night. XD)

(....I don't have Spring Break. o3o" Easter's coming up soon, which is a four day weekend, which is nice..... ^^" )
