Death Note

"I think their... interesting, one of them breaks into headquarters just to claim someone as Kira... While the other carries paper around randomly... They really are interesting, but I can't think of Misa being too involved. Raku, on the other hand, I have some amount of suspicion..." Light stated.

Beyond sat down and took a break from writing to think to himself. "I suppose no ones willing to give up 1/2 of their life for nothing..." Beyond said to himself, "but it would get them out alot easier..." Beyond stated to Rem.

(Wait Light how are you talking to Rem?)

"Misa did seem very protective of that paper though. Raku has only said that it was suppose to be a prank, but it's too obvious that she was lying." L said.

"If anything it would be Raku that's trying to bust out while Misa doesn't want to leave so long as Light's there." Rem said.

"That's a bit odd..." Light said, he had a slightly confused expression. "Why would someone want to protect a few pieces of blank paper so much... Have you ran tests on it? To make sure nothings abnormal about it." Light asked.

"I think I may have an idea on what to do... Even with that fact." Beyond said as he picked up the notebook. "We're moving, only a few cities away though. We need to put distance between me and L for the plan." Beyond said to Rem

"As far as they've shown up there's nothing abnormal with the paper." L explained.

"I cannot go with you. I have to stay close to the person with the Death Note." the raven said.

"Road trip." Ryuk said.

"Quite odd..." Light said, he was pretty confused on what could be so important about that piece of paper. "Did Raku have anything weird on her when she was detained?" Light asked.

"That is fine, just stay here for now. We won't be too far away." Beyond said as he headed outside.

"She had some sort of notebook on her." L answered. He wasn't fully shure why, but he felt like he could trust Light a lot more now.

"Fine." she replied.

"So which city are we heading to?" Ryuk asked, following Beyond.

"That seems a bit more promising, was there anything written on the pages or was it just entirely blank like the pages?" Light asked, he was somewhat wondering if those two just loved paper at this point.

"We're going to Yokohoma, It is still within the Kanto region and is pretty distant from where L is currently located." Beyond responded.

"Actually yes, it had the name of the Task Force member who died." he said with narrow eyes.

"Are there apples there?" he asked.

"Hmm... A slight bit odd... Only writing a name down..." Light said as he thought about it. Why would she write down his name? If anything that should be a giveaway that she's involved. Then again, she could've been taking notes... only question is Why?. Light thought to himself.

"Yes, there will be apples." Beyond reassured Ryuk.

"Yes quite strange, but I'm unsure if she was the one who even wrote it down in the first place. I haven't seen her handwriting. That's also why Misa is still here." the raccoon explained.

"Good." Ryuk said happily.

"I suppose there really is no way of telling unless we get her handwriting." Light said.

"Good to see you're fine with moving." Beyond said to Ryuk. He then entered the subway and got on a train to Yokohoma.

"Problem is that she won't do anything except sleep. She won't even accept food." he replied.

"Why would I have a problem with it?" he asked.

"She needs to eat eventually..." Light said in a somewhat concerned tone, even if she is involved he didn't want her to painfully starve to death.

"Who knows." Beyond whispered to Ryuk. The train would reach its destination in Yokohoma in about an hour.

"Yes, but so far she's not taking any interest in doing anything." he said. "Forcing her to eat could cause her to choke." he pointed out.

"You're the one who asked the question." Ryuk said.

"Hmm... I wonder why she's going to such lengths..." Light said as he thought about all the different possibilities.

"I never asked, I just said I was glad with your cooperation." Beyond pointed out.

"I'm not sure, it's most likely because she doesn't trust us." he guessed.

"Well I didn't hear it in your tone." he replied.

"Possibly... but I can't believe she go to such lengths." Light stated.

"Oh well. In any case, we should be arriving in an hour or so. Once we get there I'll give you an apple." Beyond said.

"Well then again we don't know her that well." he pointed out.

"Yes!" Ryuk said happily.

"True... But I'd never expect anyone to go that far..." Light stated.

"Maybe she has trust issues or something." L guessed.

"Perhaps..." Light said with a still curious tone. None of this makes sense... paper? a notebook? are these supposed to be our leads? Our only suspects are starving themselves just for the sake of not giving information... Light thought.

I wonder if they're planning something or at least Raku would be. Misa to me seems more like an idiot...like Matsuda. L thought.

A few hours later...


Beyond and Ryuk arrive at Yokohoma. "So many new people... This is perfect..." Beyond says to Ryuk as he walks towards abandoned buildings

"If you're sure..." Ryuk replied.

Beyond started writing many names all within a 5 meter radius as soon as he gets to his new base. "This'll be sure to grab L's attention..." Beyond said as he made 6 of the people written down on the Death Note carve a letter next to them in blood. The letters spelling out B-E-Y-O-N-D. "That should grab his attention, don't you think so Ryuk?" Beyond asks Ryuk as he keeps writing down names.

Light was still sitting next to L researching on the Kira case. "Still nothing..." Light said in disappointment.
